Twenty-five years ago, Abba & Wandu Engineers opened its doors in Nairobi with a simple proposition: deliver structural and civil engineering work of the highest quality, built on honest partnership with our clients.
In 2025, we mark that founding with over 1,000 completed projects, a portfolio spanning nine sectors, and a team that has grown from a small practise into one of Kenya established engineering firms.
What 25 Years Has Taught Us
Engineering knowledge advances. Software improves. Materials evolve. But the fundamentals that make a great engineering practice never change: listen carefully to the client, understand the brief before you draw a line, check your work, and stand behind what you deliver.
We have seen buildings go wrong — not because of inadequate software, but because of inadequate attention. We have seen projects succeed not because of heroic engineering, but because of disciplined coordination and honest communication. These lessons are woven into how we work on every project, every day.
Looking Forward
Kenya is building. The infrastructure demand across East Africa over the next two decades — housing, healthcare, education, industry, transport — is extraordinary. Abba & Wandu Engineers intends to be part of that story: delivering the structural foundations on which communities are built, and doing it with the precision, integrity, and partnership that has defined our first 25 years.
